MUSIC NEWS: Johnny Marr Kicks Off US Tour With Performances on Fallon and CBS This Morning

Following the kick-off of his US tour in DC this past Sunday, legendary guitarist Johnny Marr (formerly of The Smiths) will be performing his hit single "Easy Money" this evening (Tuesday, 11/11) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as well as CBS This Morning on Saturday, 11/15.

Johnny's North American headlining 30-date trek, which includes two shows in New York City, comes to a close late December with back-to-back shows in Los Angeles. Tickets are on sale now and can be found on Marr's official website. Please see below for a complete list of announced tour dates.

Marr released his well-received new solo album, 'Playland' on October 7th via Warner Music Group. The Associated Press proclaims 'Playland' showcases Marr "On his game" and Q Magazine adds, "'Playland' is better than its predecessor in pretty much every respect. The songs are better, the palette broader and there's a genuine sense of Marr hitting his stride as a solo artist."

'Playland' is Marr's second solo effort and the follow up to last year's critically acclaimed (included the honor of being named as NME's Godlike Genius) Top 10 debut album 'The Messenger.' Work on the album commenced in London in spring 2014 as soon as the year of touring in support of 'The Messenger' came to a close. It finds Marr continuing the creative connection that was forged on 'The Messenger' with collaborator and co-producer Doviak, as well as the other musicians who performed on the album and accompanying tour.

'Playland' is available for purchase at iTunes and Amazon, as well as select retailers.
