IBGM/Columbia Records rapper, DeJ Loaf, has officially exploded into the music landscape with an audible bang. The 23-year-old Detroit native is enjoying a meteoric rise with "Try Me", her sorrowful yet breathy, sing-song-y street anthem. Originally released virally, the song spread across the internet like wildlife, sparking interest in fans and celebrities such NBA star Kevin Durant, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, E-40 and Kylie Jenner, all of whom supported the song on social media.

Burning up the airwaves, "Try Me" was the #1 most added during impact week (October 28th).  That same week, the single debuted at 35* on the Mediabase Urban Airplay Chart and moved up 11 places to 24* one week later and is currently the #5 Greatest Airplay Gainer at the format. Early supporters include WPWX-Chicago, WKYS-Washington DC, WUSL-Philadelphia, WEDR-Miami, WGPR-Detroit, WHHL-St. Louis, and WPEG-Charlotte. Additionally, "Try Me" debuted at #38 on the Mediabase Rhythm Airplay Chart.

Bolstered by the early radio play and social media buzz, "Try Me" has garnered a fiery reaction at Shazam, becoming the #1 most Shazamed song in major markets including New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Hartford, Baltimore, Greensboro, Charlotte and Raleigh. Currently "Try Me" has infiltrated the Top 20 and is registering as the #19 most tagged song in the United States and the #67 most Shazamed song globally. Additionally, the track has broken the Top 200 Shazam chart in both UK and Canada as of last week and continues to rise at a steady pace.

The accompanying music video for "Try Me" has proven to be a fan favourite right out the gate. Within just four weeks, the music video, shot by 17-year old JerryPHD, has racked up just under 5 million views after having premiered on The Fader. The video has been added in rotation at MTV2, MTV Jams, Fuse, BET and Revolt. DeJ appeared on BET's 106 & Park on Monday, November 3rd in support of her video.

Following on the heels of the success of "Try Me", DeJ dropped her mixtape $ell Sole via LiveMixtapes. Boasting original verses from hip-hop heavyweights such as Birdman and Remy Ma as well as Young Thug and Ty Dolla $ign, the mixtape has over 600,000 streams and downloads in just over one week.

Proving to be a natural born and commanding performer, DeJ Loaf made an unforgettable live show debut at Santos Party House during CMJ Festival in New York City. Performing a full set to an at capacity venue, decked out in a floor length fur coat, DeJ ran through her entire mixtape and led the energetic crowd on a sing along to "Try Me." Truly giving her fans a special experience, DeJ Loaf brought out a slew of top-level guests during her set, including Jadakiss and Styles-P of The Lox and the inimitable Remy Ma, who performed her verse from the official "Try Me" remix. The indefatigable rapper also made a surprise appearance at Fader Magazine's famed Fader Fort, where she performed alongside Rae Sremmurd, and later joined Grammy Award winning rapper and actor T.I. on stage at his Hot97 Playback session. DeJ capped off the exciting week with a hometown performance featuring Young Thug and Migos, followed by appearing during T.I.'s set at the Power 106 show at the Barclay's Center in New York City.

No-stopping in sight, DeJ Loaf will tour in early 2015 while continuing preparation for the anticipated release of her major label debut album.
