BOB ODENKIRK is many things in the comedy world; the co-creator and co-star of HBO's Emmy nominated cult comedy series Mr Show, a writer for Saturday Night Live and Get a Life, co-creator and writer for Tenacious D, producer of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!... the list goes on. To that list he can now add the release of his debut stand up album 'AMATEUR HOUR' out next TUESDAY NOVEMBER 25 on ASPECIALTHING RECORDS. In a rare stand up setting, Bob took to the stage armed with jokes on paper, a wastebasket and a little over an hour of pre-show prep, and brought the audience into his intimate, imaginative comedy world. Recorded at The NerdMelt Showroom in LA, 'Amateur Hour' is bookended by an opening set from Brandon Wardell and ends with four amazing bonus tracks from Odenkirk as 89 year old comedy promoter Sir Lev Gravier. In between, Odenkirk revels in thoughts about the internet, television, his "to don't do list," the Monkees, his kids, and aiming for "a tight zero."
While Odenkirk's TV roles are too many to mention, his most recent include roles on Fargo, as Breaking Bad's criminal lawyer Saul Goodman and its upcoming spin-off series Better Call Saul. He has directed three films: Melvin Goes to Dinner (2003), Let's Go to Prison (2006) and The Brothers Solomon (2007). His new book "A Load Of Hooey" is out now.
