Concert Review: Alice Cooper’s (@RealAliceCooper) ‘Raise The Dead – Live From Wacken’ Live DVD.

With Halloween approaching, there is no better way to celebrate the dead than with someone who loves the dead like Alice Cooper. In fact, not only does the legendary musician LOVE the dead, he raises it in his new live DVD titled, “Raise The Dead – Live From Wacken,” out October 21st.

Cooper is not only a magnificent musician; he’s also an amazing showman. “Raise The Dead – Live From Wacken” captures just how great Alice Cooper is. The live DVD is filled with the classics such as “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “School’s Out,” and “Welcome to My Nightmare,” as well as covers of The Who’s “My Generation” and The Doors’ “Break on Through.”

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Alice Cooper show without a guillotine taking out Cooper’s head while the band plays on. Speaking of the band, Cooper puts together a great assortment of musicians that anyone can ask for. And why wouldn’t he? He’s a living legend.

The hour and a half performance ends with a string of covers and hits that will leave metal fans satisfied for a long time. Alice Cooper is the Godfather of Shock Rock and has been running strong for 50 years. It’s incredible to see someone who has been doing it this long still giving it all he’s got.

If you don’t ever get a chance to see Alice Cooper live, the next closest thing is “Raise The Dead – Live From Wacken.” Also, people who purchase the DVD/CD will see €1 donated to the Wacken Foundation (
