"'Fallen' is a very deep song for me," states Richie Cavalera. "I had a friend pass away during the recording of Up In Hell, and it brought back a lot of emotions from when my brother died and all the other loved ones in my life that have passed. I feel everyone can relate to it. It's rocking and very solid from beginning to end."

For Up In Hell, the band churned out studio time with Matt Hyde (Deftones, Slayer, Hatebreed, Parkway Drive) at Hideaway Studios, who produced, recorded, mixed and mastered the record. Production assistance was provided by Thomas Bellier and Jon Nicholson of Drum Fetish is credited as drum technician on the album.
