MUSIC NEWS: The Dead Daisies release the Face I Love EP next Tuesday, August 5

The Dead Daisies release the Face I Love EP next Tuesday, August 5 via Caroline/Universal and this week starts their tour with KISS & Def Leppard. Ahead of the EP release next week, Ultimate Classic Rock has the exclusive advance stream of Face I Love.

The Dead Daisies are a powerful musical collective with a rotating line-up that features some of the best Rock musicians on the planet and a sound that's influenced by late '70s and early '80s hard rock. The 2014 lineup includes Jon Stevens (Noiseworks/INXS) on vocals, David Lowy (Mink/Red Phoenix) on guitar, Richard Fortus (Guns N' Roses/Psychedelic Furs) on lead guitar, Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake) on bass, Dizzy Reed (Guns N' Roses/Hookers & Blow) on keys and new addition Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne/Billy Idol) on drums.

The Daisies just finished a support tour with Bad Company & Lynyrd Skynyrd and stood out among the headliners. "The Dead Daisies played second on the bill, and did a fine job, assuredly, of gaining new fans with a flawless half-hour set," proclaimed The Buffalo News.

Maine Music News declared, "If it looks like rock, sounds like rock, and hits you in the face like rock – it might be The Dead Daisies."

The Dead Daisies are showing the world that a "classic rock" sound still has what it takes to get people hooked. The title track from the Face I Love EP was released in June in conjunction with an innovative App, where fans helped create the artwork for the EP cover and touring posters. Created to represent the iconic daisy skull logo of the band, over the past two months, fans uploaded thousands of images of the face THEY love to the App to create a photo-mosaic portrait of The Dead Daisies skulll. The resulting cover can be found below.
