The first single from Infinite Sunshine, "4 Real" premiered earlier this month on The Fader to critical acclaim and has already amassed over 130,000 plays in that short amount of time. "4 Real" was the perfect single to introduce the band's newest EP as it pulls together the summery funk of the 70's with elements of modern pop and electronic music to create a summer anthem sure to transform any backyard BBQ or Brooklyn stoop into a dance party.
Body Language is doing their fair share to ensure your AC remains cranked as the sunshine burns hot off the asphalt and silver rooftops throughout the city. The soon to be released free-of-charge EP, Infinite Sunshine, is comprised of glowing disco R&B. With three dancefloor-ready disco cuts followed by two slow burning gems, Infinite Sunshine, is specifically constructed for the ignition of good times – whether on a rooftop, spinning downstairs at the local bar or parked at the beach with a little boombox. Having just co-written and produced Vacationer's latest album Relief, an album that functions as an extension of summer itself, the positive vibes of Infinite Sunshine is sure to keep the party going for the rest of the summer.
Body Language's first two releases, Social Studies and Grammar, were both met with universal praise across the blog spectrum. The band runs the gamut in terms of the musical references they pull from, and as a result each track they release serves as a fresh take on their distinct brand of restless pop experimentation. As multi-instrumentalist/producer Grant Wheeler puts it "Our world still exists in an indie-disco bubble; we're just pushing the limits of every genre to a point where the bubble's about to pop".
Body Language will be busy for the remainder of 2014, as they will not only be touring with Rubblebucket, a fellow standard-bearer of the art pop world, but will also be leaking tracks from their next full-length; the decidedly moodier The Walk throughout the rest of the year.
