CHICAGO-one of the longest running, successful and iconic rock bands in American musical history-debuted a new song, "Love Lives On," today via ULTIMATECLASSICROCK.COM. Check out the lyric video here: http://ultimateclassicrock.com/chicago-love-lives-on-lyric-video/ The band-founding members ROBERT LAMM (keyboard, guitars, vocals), LEE LOUGHNANE (trumpet, guitar, percussion, vocals), JAMES PANKOW (trombone, percussion, keyboards, vocals), WALTER PARAZAIDER (woodwinds, backing vocals) along with JASON SCHEFF (bass, vocals), TRIS IMBODEN (drums, percussion), KEITH HOWLAND (guitars, vocals), LOU PARDINI (keyboards, vocals) and WALFREDO REYES, Jr., (percussion)-is gearing up to release their 36th album "NOW" CHICAGO XXXVI in the U.S. July 8 via Frontiers Records. "Love Lives On" is available as an instant grat on iTunes for fans who pre-order the album (for those who don't know, this means the song will automatically download to their iTunes once they complete the pre-order purchase).

Of the new song, co-written by JASON SCHEFF and JIMMY PANKOW, SCHEFF said, "You just never know where songs are going to end up...you just start batting ideas around, sharing life's experiences and then something magical happens. We never really thought it would have the impact it's had but it's taken on a life of its own, as songs often do.   It's almost as if the teller of the story could be speaking from the afterlife and people are starting to come forward telling us that's what they're thinking about when they hear it. It's one of my favorite compositions I've even been involved with and feel lucky to have been at the right place, at the right time to have helped capture it."  PANKOW added, "Jason brought in a new track called 'Love Lives On.' I was so moved by the haunting nature of the song I begged to add my signature. Jason and I got together and--wow!--we came up with something very special!"

Featuring 11 brand-new, original songs from the group known for their groundbreaking rock-with-horns sound, "NOW" CHICAGO XXXVI was written and recorded on the road during the band's rigorous, never-ending tour schedule, playing for fans who have supported them since they formed in 1967.
