MUSIC NEWS: DAISYHEAD AND HAVE MERCY TO RELEASE SPLIT EP ON FEBRUARY 25.

Nashville rock band Daisyhead has teamed up with Baltimore based rock group Have Mercy to release a four song split EP via No Sleep Records on February 25th.  Fans can pre-order the release on 12" vinyl now at http://www.nosleeprecords.com/release/194/split.

The bands have partnered with Purevolume.com to premeiere a new song from each today.  Stream Daisyhead's "Dishonest" and Have Mercy's "Pete Rose and Babe Ruth" now at http://bit.ly/19sbKmH.

"Before this split, to me, Have Mercy was just a band that helped me destroy my apartment at a party we threw on July 4th of 2013," says Daisyhead's Michael Roe.  "When Chris mentioned us doing a split with them, I couldn't help but laugh.  This will be a good way for me to keep in contact with them to make sure they fix my couch, which they broke by powerbombing each other on it.  Honestly though, I love everything that Have Mercy has released, and everyone in Daisyhead is honored to share a record with them."

"When No Sleep contacted us about doing a split with Daisyhead we were extremely surprised," Have Mercy's vocalist/guitarist Brian Swindle adds.  "We thought those guys hated us after we were doing power bombs on each other at their house on 4th of July and broke their couch.  We can't stop listening to their songs on the split.  The Daisyhead guys are extremely nice, talented and definitely a band to keep an eye on in 2014."

Newly signed to No Sleep Records, Daisyhead is made up of Roe (vocals/guitar), Zach Chiarizzio (bass/vocals), Curtis Durard (guitar) and Chad Burroughs (drums) who blend post-hardcore, alternative rock and post-90's rock together for catchy yet intense listening experience.  The split EP with Have Mercy follows their debut EP, I Couldn't Face You, which was released via Spartan Records.

Have Mercy is a four member, independent rock band from Baltimore, MD who formed in 2011 when the various members returned to the Rust Belt post-college.  They self-released their debut EP, My Oldest Friend, in March 2012.  Several DIY tours have followed and the band released their debut full length, The Earth Pushed Back in May 2013 via Topshelf Records.  Have Mercy will kick off a tour with No Sleep Records' band Major League in February.
