MIDDLE CLASS RUT Head To Alaska for "Dead Eye."

Alt-rock band Middle Class Rut recently traveled to Anchorage, Alaska, where they shot a video for their new single, "Dead Eye." The clip was shot by director Lance Drake, who helmed the band's "Aunt Betty" video, released earlier this year, as well as the video for 2009's hit single "New Low." Middle Class Rut vocalist/guitarist Zack Lopez and drummer/vocalist Sean Stockham say the Alaska shoot is one they won't soon forget, having dealt with freezing rain, howling winds, barreling locomotives and various run-ins with the local authorities.

While fans await the video's premiere, Middle Class Rut has teamed with Purevolume for the debut of a live "Dead Eye" video, captured during the band's recent stint on the Uproar Festival. That clip can be seen at http://www.purevolume.com/news/PREMIERE-Watch-Middle-Class-Ruts-Live-Video-for-Dead-Eye-.

Middle Class Rut is touring in support of new album, PICK UP YOUR HEAD, which was mixed by Grammy winning producer Dave Sardy (Johnny Cash, LCD Soundsystem, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds) and is drawing rave reviews: Alternative Press gave the album 4 ½ stars. USA Today named lead single "Aunt Betty" "Song of the Week," MTV Buzzworthy premiered "No More," praising its "levee-breaking drums and electric guitars the size of the Hoover Dam" and in an Uproar preview, and the Village Voice highlighted them as one of the bands to catch.
