Sweetwater and the Satisfaction Debuts Sultry New Single “Maybe Just Pretend.”

Sweetwater and the Satisfaction is a seductive grand band who is debuting their fresh new single "Maybe Just Pretend" on iTunes. "Maybe Just Pretend" highlights the band's signature sound of immense instruments and the gritty vocals of lead singer, Alana Sweetwater. Accompanying the release of their single, the band is also launching their first campaign on Kickstarter, which will help to fund their upcoming album, due out early 2014.

This emerging band from Los Angeles is quickly establishing a name for themselves with their full sounding band complete with a three-piece horn section. "Maybe Just Pretend" marks a departure for the band as they continue to refine their sound with each coming track. Alana's raspy seductive vocals soar instantly in the song as she quickly hooks her audience in. "It's about letting go of the past, letting your guard down- and just pretending that you are really loved, until you actually believe it! Sort of the 'fake it till you make it' idea", declares Alana. Producer and keyboardist Scott Feldman infuses the tracks with his intense sounds that create a sexy, dreamlike sound. The soulful rock texture of the song translates into their modern signature sound. "It was the first time we got back to writing and producing after releasing our debut album, and I think we were both a bit nervous about being able to meet and hopefully exceed the standards we set for ourselves" says Feldman.

On the heels of a remarkable release week, Sweetwater and the Satisfaction have also kicked off the campaign for their new album on Kickstarter as a way to include fans in their newest endeavor. Kickstarter is an online platform that allows fans to fund creative projects. The band is proposing numerous prizes and incentives for fans to choose from, including a Skype concert with the band, advanced releases, an in home concert, a cameo in their music video and many more. Their charming video on Kickstarter is a just watch as it displays the goofy side of the characteristically precise and sensual performers seen on stage.

Within the last two years, Sweetwater & The Satisfaction has taken massive strides with their music, including being featured on major television shows like Sons of Anarchy, Franklin & Bash and The Real L Word. The band has shared the stage with numerous global headliners, most recently opening at the El Rey Theater for Katey Sagal, as part of the celebration of season six of Sons of Anarchy. Alana and Scott are accompanied by one of the finest and tightest rhythm sections in LA, with Kennith "Memphis" Shepherd on the drums and Brett Peloquin on bass. Jimmy Heberling plays guitar and has been instrumental in evolving the bands' medley of pop, rock and soul genres. The group also includes a permanent horn section comprised of Mark Einhorn (Bari & Alto Sax), Mark Manriquez (Trombone), and Michael Dabach (Trumpet).

Sweetwater and the Satisfaction marries their wholehearted compositions with fiery lyrics that encompass the intensity of one-night stands, love and heartbreak, to create a progressive, yet deeply rooted original sound that has become a fan favorite. The band released their debut self-titled album in 2012 and is currently in the studio producing tracks for their new EP in 2014.
