European electro-pop duo THE GREEN CHILDREN have spent the entirety of summer 2013 giving back to charity - which includes support programs with SOS Children's Villages, PAWS, Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica, and of course, The Green Children Foundation. The band's new album Connection hits all digital retailers today, and a portion of each album sold will be donated to SOS and PAWS.
The group packed out The Roxy Theatre in Hollywood last Saturday in support of their new release Connection, which hits all digital retailers today (July 23rd). The show not only served as an album release party, but also as a fundraiser for Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica (BGCSM), where 100% of ticket sales were donated to the organization. Prior to the show, The Green Children held a special signing and meet and greet via sponsors Amoeba Music, where children from BGCSM were able to meet both Milla Sunde and Marlow Bevan and have their photo taken in-store. The band also did an intimate exclusive performance for the kids and took them to lunch afterwards. The kids left the event with gift bags, a signed copy of Connection, and a free item courtesy of Amoeba Music.
The Green Children plan to continue their widespread charitable contributions with the goal of creating a "real voice as a community," much like the voice heard on Connection. For more information on The Green Children, please visit www.thegreenchildren.com.
