Pop-rock band Runner Runner will join the Taylor Momsen fronted band The Pretty Reckless on tour starting this Friday February 11th at the El Rey in Los Angeles, CA through March 13th at Club AE in Pittsburgh, PA. The Pretty Reckless tour begins just as Runner Runner is preparing to release their anticipated self-titled debut (EMI/Capitol Records/ MRV Music/C.E. Music) on February 15th. Fans can still pre-order a copy of Runner Runner on the band’s website http://www.runnerunnermusic.com/ and receive a free acoustic EP.
Runner Runner broke out last summer with their upbeat debut single “So Obvious” which charted on the Top 40 radio airplay charts. They performed the song live on The Late Show With David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live. The video for “So Obvious” was played on MTV Hits, MTV and Teen Nick. Runner Runner is gearing up to impact their next single at radio on March 21st. In the mean time, the band has released two videos for their song “Hey Alli.” They released a video to an acoustic version of the song earlier this year and last week premiered an Isaac Rentz (Cage The Elephant, Pistol Youth, Manchester Orchestra, Motion City Soundtrack) directed short film/video. The band decided they wanted to tell the story of the song rather than do a traditional music video featuring themselves and gave Rentz full creative control and artistic freedom to shoot a mini film that would portray his own visual interpretation of the lyrics. Both videos can be seen on the band’s Vevo channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/RunnerRunnerVEVO.
Immediately following The Pretty Reckless tour, Runner Runner will hit the road with A Rocket To The Moon starting March 15th in Poughkeepsie, NY through April 23rd in Foxborough, MA. Runner Runner have become road warriors over the last year, they spent the summer on the road with Secondhand Serenade and White Tie Affair. They played some fall dates with 2AM Club and most recently toured with Forever The Sickest Kids and have also played shows with bands such as Fall Out Boy, All Tim Low, Gym Class Heroes and Angels & Airwaves and have played the Vans Warped Tour and Bamboozle
Runner Runner is the first band signed to Clear Entertainment/C.E. Music, a new label formed by David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants Inc. through a partnership with EMI’s Capitol Records and music industry veteran Jack Ponti’s MRV Label.
