"Playboy Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk finds herself a 'Celebrity Apprentice.'" – Interview

“Celebrity Apprentice” begins its new season in March. Hope Dworaczyk, Playboy Playmate of the Year, will be one of those apprentices. I recently caught up with the model/playmate to talk about “Celebrity Apprentice” as well as being in Playboy.

Q – Real quick, how did you get involved with modeling?

A - I won a beauty pageant called Miss Teen Texas and signed with a small agency which led to representation by Wilhelmenia in New York.

Q – NBC just announced its new cast for “Celebrity Apprentice.” You are one of those participants, along with Star Jones, Lisa Rinna, Niki Taylor, and rapper Lil Jon. How did you get involved with the show? Is this something that you audition for?

A - I heard that Donald wrote my name down with black sharpie marker and told the producers to “look into her.” I met them once for coffee and brought my grandmother with me. I heard shortly after that I had been invited to join the cast.

Q – Of all the participants for the new season, which celebrity do you look forward to working with the most and why?

A - I really love Niki Taylor, and Lisa Rinna is going to be fun and sassy for sure. I think Star Jones will be very tough in the boardroom. She’s a lawyer so has a lot of experience arguing her points.

Q – The winner plays for the charity of his or her choice. Which charity are you playing for and how did you get involved with it?

A - I’m playing for Best Buddies. A charity for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. I was invited to my first event in Boston which was a 100 mile bike ride hosted by Tom Brady and fell in love with the kids during that weekend and helped raise over 4 million dollars. That’s all it took.

Q – Most people know you from being Playboy’s Playmate of the Year, as well as being on the cover of the first ever 3-D issue. What was your reaction to Playboy Magazine going 3-D?

A - Sign me up!

I was really excited but mostly because I’m now part of Playboy and Hef’s history. The first issue of Playboy with Marilyn Monroe was supposed to be in 3D but Hef couldn’t afford the glasses. Almost 50 years later his dream of going 3D finally came true. And now I have a nude pictorial and two covers for one of the most controversial magazines of our time. If Marilyn Monroe could get naked in the 1950’s I can definitely do it today.

Q – Aside from having the title, Playmate of the Year, what are the other benefits?

A - Getting asked to be on “Celebrity Apprentice” is one. But really if someone doesn’t know who I am and we have intelligent conversation and then have them find out from someone else or by Google, “Yeah, she is a model but she is also Playmate of the Year” is fun for me. It’s like, yeah, I’m a bombshell and have wits. So what? It’s unexpected and cool.

Q – What’s next for Hope Dworaczyk?

A - I’m constantly working but I just signed a MAJOR cosmetics campaign so I’m pretty excited about it. Plus I’m developing a line of bath and body products. This is a dream come true!

Q – Thanks again for taking the time. Is there anything you wanted to add?

A - I’m just really appreciative right now. Life is so short and this is fun.
