“Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg reacts to ‘The Social Network.’”

In an interview with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, the computer whiz said that he knew the real story regarding how Facebook was started. This was in response to the movie "The Social Network," which comes out October 1st and portrays Zuckerberg as a greedy and insecure person.

Zuckerberg, for the most part, had little to say about the movie and how he really felt, with the only suggestion of distaste being that he removed "The West Wing" from his list of favorite shows.

"The West Wing" creator, Aaron Sorkin wrote the screenplay to "The Social Network," who portrays Zuckerberg as the anti-hero stressing that the movie isn't an attack on Zuckerberg, rather it's a fictional account.

In other words, Mark Zuckerberg does not like this.

“LeBron James became Kobe Bryant without the rape accusation.”

King James, who went from the second coming to Captain Douche Bag, became even more unpopular when he compared his selfish decision to leave the Cavs for the Heat with race.

Moments after James chose Miami to play his next few years, sudden dislike for the all-star became apparent when James was named one of the most disliked athletes. During an interview with CNN, a question was asked if race played a factor regarding the backlash for leaving Cleveland. The obvious answer would be no and that fans felt betrayed. However, Captain Douche Bag said, "I think so at times…It's always, you know, a race factor."

WHAT!?

No it's not. This backlash had nothing to do with race. The backlash occurred because James bailed on his home state and home fans. Regardless if he were Larry Bird or Michael Jordan, the decision to leave was unpopular. That's why these guys stayed with their teams; they're real superstars. Granted Jordan became an enigma with the Wizards but that's another story. Them leaving Boston and Chicago respectively would have had nothing to do with race.

James, even if he would never have won with the Cavs, would retire as one of the greatest athletes ever. Chances are he would have won (once Kobe retired). Going to the Heat and winning diminishes his abilities because he wouldn't have won on his terms; rather he'd be winning on Wade's terms.

Now, James is comparable to those old all-stars who can't win on their own so they go to every team who stands a chance. I'm talking to you Sir Charles. Maybe that's why James left the Cavs – he can't win on his terms. He's the modern day Karl Malone.

At least Kobe is hated for doing things his way. And that's why Kobe is the best player in the NBA today.

“Daniel Radcliff, aka Harry Potter, fan message.”

The official UK Facebook page for "Harry Potter" has just added a video with a message for fans from Daniel Radcliff. For those of us in the US we are unable to view the video on the UK Facebook page but the video is up on YouTube and you can watch it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6F7m8mVsJ0.

In it Daniel Radcliff discusses what kind of impact portraying The Boy Who Lived has had on his life. The video is short and I'm hoping for plenty more messages between now and November 19th. We're down to 50 days to go Potterheads!

“Harry Potter, mo money mo problems?”

Let's hope not! Forbes.com has reported that the Harry Potter films are close to overtaking the Star Wars series for all time top earning franchise. The six Star Wars flicks are sitting on top with earnings of $4.5 billion worldwide, including $2 billion here in the US.

The six Potter films have earned a reported $1.7 billion thus far. Considering there are still two movies waiting to debut it's likely that they'll take the cake. The first half of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" just has to bank $300 million here in the US to tie the Star Wars franchise.

So far each Potter film has averaged $285 million. The only trouble is Star Wars is slated to be possibly re-released in 3D in 2012 so Harry's takeover could be short lived.

Too bad for Potter fans that George Lucas has run out of ideas. What's next? "Dancing With The Star Wars?"

“Are there any good NFL teams?”

Let's talk some football for a little bit. Being that I live in Illinois I'm a fan of the Chicago Bears. Currently the Bears are 3-0. Going into the season many of the experts had the Bears at about 8-8. These same experts predicted the Bears to start off 1 – 3. At worse they're going to start 3-1. The question is, are the Bears for real? After each game Bears fans have felt a little bit uneasy, because it hasn't been pretty.

Going into the season many picked the Packers to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, others had the Saints repeating, but three weeks into the season neither of those teams look very good. Let's go down the list of good teams.

New Orleans Saints – Week one they beat the Vikings, but didn't look all that good doing it. Week two they barely get by the messed up San Francisco 49ers, and then in week three they get beat at home by Atlanta.

Green Bay – The Packers didn't really play anybody the first two weeks of the season then lost to the Chicago Bears, who don't appear to be a great team despite the 3-0 record.

Dallas Cowboys – The Boys lost a heart breaker to the Washington Redskins and then were flat out beat by the Chicago Bears. However in week 3 they lit up the Houston Texans

Indianapolis Colts – The Colts were embarrassed in week one by the Houston Texans, who then went on to get embarrassed themselves by the Dallas Cowboys.

Houston Texans – See Indianapolis and Dallas.

Cincinnati Bengals – With Ochocinco, TO, Carson Palmer and Cedric Benson, not to mention a great defense, the Bengals were sure to be a great team, but then they got hammered by a questionable New England team in week one.

New England Patriots – Everybody was questioning New England going into the season then they beat up on the Bengals. Then they go into New York and get beat by a disappointing Jets team. In week three they barely got passed the Buffalo Bills.

New York Jets – Before the season started the Jets were a favorite amongst many, then in week one The Baltimore Ravens shut all of them up. The Jets then went on to beat New England and Miami, so maybe they are for real.

Pittsburgh Steelers – Ok, these guys are 3 – 0 without their starting quarterback, so for now I guess the only team that is borderline great is Pittsburgh. It's too bad their quarterback is a complete douche bag.

“Neil Young’s ‘Le Noise Film’ premieres on YouTube today.”

Le Noise Film — a 38-minute black and white film of eight live-in-studio performances of the eight songs that appear on legendary rocker Neil Young's brand-new album "Le Noise" — will be made available for viewing exclusively on YouTube  beginning September 30th. These will appear in the Spotlight section of You-Tube's homepage as well as on Young's YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/neilyoung).

In addition to the performances, there will also be a personal introduction by Young himself, along with behind-the-scenes clips from album producer, Daniel Lanois, and more. The performances, shot by filmmaker Adam CK Vollick, feature Young on acoustic and electric guitars at Lanois' home studio in Silverlake, CA, where Young and Lanois recorded "Le Noise."

The eight-song album, which is already generating glowing reviews, is a collaboration between the acclaimed rock icon and musician, songwriter, and multiple Grammy Award-winning producer Lanois, known for his work with U2, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, Brian Eno, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, The Neville Brothers and many others.

"Le Noise" features Young on acoustic and electric guitars with Lanois adding his trademark sonic textures, creating one of the most sonically arresting albums Young has ever recorded. No band, no overdubs, just "a man on a stool and me doing a nice job on the recording," as Lanois puts it.

Young has just wrapped up his Gulf Coast tour, in which he teamed up with Tyson Foods to fight hunger in communities affected by the April oil spill. He will appear at Farm Aid at Miller Park in Milwaukee, WI, on October 2nd, and will reunite with Buffalo Springfield members Stephen Stills and Richie Furay for this year's Bridge School Benefit concerts. The shows, which also feature Pearl Jam, Elton John and Leon Russell, Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, and others, will take place at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA, on October 23rd and 24th.

“The Dance Party brings me back to my childhood.” – Music Review

I was born in 1979, so some of my favorite artists as a kid were Michael Jackson, Richard Marx, Def Leppard, Europe, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, etc. etc. As I got older I got into heavier music, but all of that music will always have a soft spot in my heart. Roughly twenty years later this band called The Dance Party is presented to me. On paper they don't seem like they'd be my cup of tea. I mean their name is The Dance Party and I barely danced at my own wedding.

I've listened to their new album "Touch" three times beginning to end. I can't help but like it a little bit. The ten year old in me loves "Touch." Musically it sounds like Def Leppard or INXS playing Michael Jackson or Prince songs. It's rock music, but more so it's music you can dance to. If you grew up in the 80's and actually liked the pop music from that era I really think you should pick up The Dance Party's "Touch."

Let me talk about a couple of the high lights on the album. "Snake Eyes" is the first stand out for me on the album. The whole album is full of sing-a-long choruses, but "Snake Eyes" really stands out for me. You can definitely feel the INXS influence in the song. The last song on the album "Disappear" slows it down a bit with a nice power ballad.

The only song over six minutes on the album contains a chorus with an amazing melody. This would be a great change of pace song in concert. Just under three minutes and thirty seconds into "Disappear" the song kicks into an amazing guitar solo before song kicks into a keyboard filled bridge.

My favorite song on the album is "Forever Yours." It brings me back to Michael Jackson when he was in his prime. The song really reminds me of an upbeat version of the Michael Jackson song "Human Nature." It's equally as catchy and equally as beautiful. The whole album is solid, but they really knocked it out of the park with "Forever Yours."

If you're anything like me and miss the music of your younger years, be sure to check out The Dance Party's album "Touch." It's great music for a house party; it's a ton of fun. If you're ashamed of the music that you liked as a kid then pick this album up for your wife or girlfriend, they'll definitely like it.

"Soundgarden's 'Telephantasm' included inside 1 million copies of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock."

Last night at the Paramount Lot in Los Angeles, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), UMe and gaming publisher Activision Publishing, Inc. awarded Soundgarden with a platinum plaque acknowledging the innovative partnership and distribution behind Soundgarden’s newest album in 13 years, “Telephantasm” (A&M/UMe). The multi-label, career-spanning retrospective album was released today inside 1 million copies of the new Guitar Hero®: Warriors of Rock. Soundgarden’s groundbreaking partnership with Activision marks the first time a newly released music album has been simultaneously bundled with a videogame launch, and it has opened the door to a new type of RIAA certification: recognizing a band’s success based on the sale of non-returnable units from a music label to a gaming company, instead of to a traditional retailer.

“Guitar Hero® is a huge platform for music, and embracing alternative outlets is essential to an artist’s success in today’s marketplace.” Kate Harold, Director of Artist & Industry Relations and the Gold & Platinum Awards Program for the RIAA, said. “This unique partnership between Universal Music Group and Activision demonstrates the value music brings to other industries and is a perfect example of how modern music companies continue to find new ways to reach fans. I anticipate we’ll be seeing more and more of these types of partnerships and cross-pollination of industries which benefit everyone, especially music fans.”

Soundgarden’s first retrospective, “Telephantasm” includes beloved band hits, deep back catalogue cuts and a never-before-heard unreleased track entitled “Black Rain,” taken from the Badmotorfinger recording sessions. Directed and created by animator Brendon Small from Adult Swim’s wildly popular and imaginative show “Metalocalypse,” the video takes fans through an epic battle in post-apocalyptic Seattle, WA between an animated- Soundgarden-manned translucent robot, and a multi-appendage giant monster. This is the first artist-driven music video based off the show.

"Styx's Ricky Phillips played with greats Jimmy Page, Neil Schon and Tommy Shaw." - Interview

Over the last ten years Styx has made a name for themselves via Adam Sandler, “South Park” among other popular culture references. Whether you’re a Styx fan or not, there is probably a Styx song out there that you like. It could be “Lady” or “Renegade,” regardless, there is something for everybody. Recently I got a chance to speak with current Styx bassist Ricky Phillips, who has played with some of the greats like Jimmy Page, Neil Schon and, of course, Tommy Shaw.

Q - What brought the band to re-record some of their classic hits for “Regeneration Vol. 1,” which will be available at your upcoming shows?

A - It was one of those things that built up over a number of years. It started off as fan requests on our personal websites and Facebook and stuff like that. The band has definitely evolved over the years and not just member changes, but also as you mature as a musician you just play better. The recording techniques of today are different from back then, and the band sounds different even though we’re playing homage to the original recordings and we don’t really change stuff, it just naturally sounds a little bit updated. I think it was our manager’s idea, he said, ‘you know what, you guys are getting enough of these requests you should really think about this.’ So we dove in and did it.

Tommy (Shaw) had written a song that I had just fallen in love with, “A Difference in the World.” We decided to throw it on there as well, as something new. In my estimation it’s sort of an updated version of “Fooling Yourself (Angry Young Man).” It’s kind of that sentiment of being young and looking at the world before you and how you’re going to tackle it. It’s kind of reflective observation and when I heard it I said, ‘Tommy this is a great song, at some point if it comes up we should do this as a Styx song.’ He said, ‘really?’ I don’t think he really thought of it as a Styx song at first. We put it on there as a little something new for people to chew on. I don’t know if that’s going to be the trend, we’re going to keep putting out songs a little bit at a time and we may put something new on for each one, it kind of depends.

Q - How important is it to make new music, even though Styx has such a large catalogue of music to choose from?

A - I think it’s really important and I think people who stop doing it, because maybe the nature of the business kind of gets them down. For us it’s not really the recording industry any more, for us it’s the touring industry. We used to tour to promote a record, now we just tour because we love to play and we have a fan base that allows us to do that, we really actually feel blessed that we do have that, we’re very fortunate. As I watch young bands, and I’ve tried to work with and help some younger bands, it’s tough out there to find your thing. It’s getting a little easier to see that there are more ways now to display your work.

Back to your question though, it’s really important to write. Everybody in our band is a writer and once you let that flower wilt, you’re kind of killing a part of what will ultimately be the performance. We all have home studios and we all write, whether it’s just to write period or to write for something like film or television whenever they come by. We’re all doing something. I think at some point, if we ever get off the road long enough we’d definitely want to go in and, for ourselves, do a new Styx record. We certainly have logged a lot to choose from. That’s kind of where I should stop, because really anything else is just speculation, because we really don’t know.

Q - You’ve been with Styx now for 6 or 7 years now. How did you come to join the band and what’s it like joining an established band with so much history?

A - I met the guys in ’79 when I was in The Babys. We opened up for Styx on a bunch of shows. I kind of became friends with Tommy. We weren’t real close friends, but we remained friendly over the years. We’d bump into each other every so often at industry functions and hang a bit. We built a friendship that lasted over a period of years. When I was in Bad English, he was in Damn Yankees so we sort of had a duality there. We just always seemed to gravitate toward one another in certain situations. Todd Sucherman, the drummer extraordinaire with Styx, a mind blower to work with, he and I had met during a session in Los Angeles and I was always frustrated, because Todd and I worked so well together, but I thought, well he’s with Styx, so that’ll never happen. So when I got the call from Tommy, actually Todd called me first and said, ‘you know Tommy is going to call you in a second to ask you something, but I asked if I could be the one to call.’ I said, ‘ok what’s up?’ and he told me and I said, ‘come again?’ (Laughs)

A few things happened within the band, but at a certain point Chuck (Panozzo) had health problems that had been publicized in the press, so Chuck doesn’t do full shows with Styx. He’s with us 95% of the time and we bring him out during the show, but they needed a solid bass player to play the body of the set. I play guitar as well and keyboards and sing, so it was something, they batted about some names, and I floated to the top of the list. I was honored to get the call. That last real project that I had done was with Jimmy Page and David Coverdale and at that point as music was changing and the flannel shirts of Seattle were taking over, there was a wandering process of where was music going through the 90’s. I had kind of just gone back to a nice studio in Los Angeles that I was working out of and became a song writer/producer for various things. I used to call it the Hollywood shuffle, just trying to keep busy, find the next gig, but stay in the music industry.

At certain times I was happy doing it, but always in the back of my mind I was going, man I didn’t get into this business to stare at a computer and play a bunch of instruments. I like the interaction; I like the band process, the band experience, the sum of the parts sort of analogy. You get so much more working with other view points and opinions, so when they called I jumped at it. It came at a perfect time, I was finishing a huge project and I was at a burnt out point when they called me. I was like, ‘when do we leave?’ As a matter of fact it was seven years ago today, Tommy’s birthday at a party where we got together for the first time. Even though I was asked a couple weeks before this, this was the first time in the same room with all the guys, so we kind of call this my anniversary day.

Q - You guys are heading out on the road in October where you’ll be playing “The Grand Illusion” and “Pieces of Eight” albums in their entirety. What brought that on?

A - Actually it was our manager’s idea. He’s kind of a real audio file, listens to a lot of music. He’s more of a southern boy; you know Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Outlaws, that’s where his heart is. When he listens to a band he likes to go to the heart of what he feels is the best part of them. He called a meeting with the band and said, ‘look this is what I want to do.’ We immediately took to it, but then we tried to figure out if this was something fans would be into, so we decided to throw out a few tester shows that we’re going to do in October. Then all of the sudden I looked at the schedule we set up and we’d already booked twenty-two gigs. Apparently a lot of the promoters wanted to sign on for it. If they believe in it, especially when the economy is the way it is, then it’s kind of exciting for us.

(Photo by Aynsley Floyd/Hard Rock Café)

It’s kind of fun working on it, because even though we kind of do a different show night after night, depending on what part of the country we’re in and how long the set is, we change the show, we get to do different songs, but it’s kind of the same pool we dive into. So those are the songs you’re pretty much going to hear, so for us to be able to do some of the deeper album cuts it’s exciting for us. We’re going back and learning, certainly I’m going back and learning songs that I haven’t learned before, but even the guys are going back and saying, ‘wow, how did this go again?’ We’ve been working this stuff up in sound check and it’s really, really fun. It’s great music; it’s the progressive side of Styx, and the side I personally was always attracted to.

Q - You guys have toured with some great bands over the last few years like Journey and Def Leppard to name a few. Since joining the band has there been a favorite tour or show?

A - Immediately my mind went to Def Leppard. So maybe it’s the Def guys. We just got on so well with them. Joe (Elliot) Sav (Rick Savage) and I would play golf and we’d just goof off. The bands would go out and have dinners together. It just seemed to be a real mutual admiration society, unscripted, unprompted, an easy flow. The crews got along together. I don’t know, we were really sad, as a matter of fact they asked us to do the next leg of that tour and we did, we did two legs with those guys, because we didn’t want to say goodbye. When you get those magic combinations like that you want to hang on to them. Really we’ve been fortunate enough to play with a lot of bands, the reason I think most of those bands are out there is because they do care and they’re a survivor because, I don’t think improving is the right word, but you care enough to change the game up. We’ve seen bands out there that I think were as good as they were 25 years ago when they were in their heyday. It’s great to see. There are exceptions to that and it’s sad to see a band that is phoning in their parts, but mostly the bands that are out there these days are really doing a great job.

Q - What’s your favorite Styx song to perform live?

A - I’ll give you the three that it kind of rotates between. It goes from “Sweet Madame Blue” to “Renegade,” which is an obvious choice. “Renegade” is just a full out let’s jam. It’s great fun, it’s got the little vocal sections where we get to sing the a cappella parts of it. Then “Fooling Yourself” is the song that I think is one of the most classy, cool written songs that is in an odd meter, that doesn’t appear to be with a great melody. I often go to that as my number one song to play. You can feel the vibe in the room change when you play that song. You can feel the exhale from the audience because they’re just listening and watching.

Q - Looking back at your career, who are some of the artists that shaped who you are as a musician?

A - Well definitely John Entwistle from the Who. I’m more of an Entwistle fan than a Who fan, but I’m a huge Who fan. Paul McCartney, definitely the Beatles in general taught me arrangement, not just of music but vocal arrangements as well. I learned from the Beatles how to arrange, so that was a heavy influence on me, just the shear architecture. The guys I still go to, who just blow my mind are guys like Jeff Beck, working with Jimmy Page was an absolute treat, Neil Schon when I was working with him in Bad English; he’s probably one of the most prolific underrated guitar players that I’ve ever worked with. Most of the guys I grew up on were Brits. Chris Squire from Yes, of course John Paul Jones, I was a huge Bowie fan, because he would take something that was really well structured and put a twist to it and just make it a little bit angular and had a different take on melody which I still think is great. Queen was a big influence. I think that’s basically my major influences.

Q - What advice would you give to any up and coming acts trying to make it in this musical landscape?

A - Make sure you’re doing it because you love it; you’re doing it because you can’t stop doing it. It’s not a place to go if it’s not deep in your soul and in your gut, because it’s a tough road. If you can’t live without, do it 150%, go flip burgers and do whatever you can to keep do it. Don’t just do it because your best friends doing or to pick up chicks. It’s a tough road to coin the old Midwestern phrase, you’ve got to be willing to get dirty, you’ve got to get down and put the hours and the time in. Whether it’s going out on the road in a station wagon with everything piled into the back, hitting every city playing for $60 bucks or whatever it is. I remember when I first moved to LA I was sleeping on couches with a suitcase and two guitars. You’ve got to be willing to sacrifice and when you win, you win big time.

“Josh Groban to release fifth studio album, ‘Illuminations,’ on November 15th.”

Already one of the most acclaimed and beloved singers and songwriters around the world, Josh Groban breaks new ground of artistic and personal growth with his long-awaited fifth studio album, "Illuminations," to be released on November 15th, 2010, from Reprise Records. The album is the rewardingly surprise-filled result of the unexpected but stimulating teaming with veteran producer Rick Rubin, known for his iconic work with Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash and Dixie Chicks among many others.

This unprecedented partnership saw both Groban and Rubin stepping out of their respective zones to come together and create an entirely new zone where art meets intimacy and immediacy meets timelessness. Most importantly, Groban – who ranks as Billboard Magazine's 14th top-selling artist of the 2000s with more than 20 million units in the U.S. alone - was free to express himself at his fullest by tapping into a new range of expression and emotional connection with lyrics drawn straight from the heart. Lead song "Hidden Away," went to radio September 13, one of six co-written by Groban and Dan Wilson (former leader of the band Semisonic and co-writer of several cuts on the Dixie Chicks' Not Ready to Make Nice), provides an emotional and artistic center, its plea for a romantic ideal given a musical setting highlighting the raw honesty and natural gifts of Groban as a singer, musician and writer.

"These are my stories," Groban said, who co-wrote eleven of the thirteen songs on the album. "For every one of these songs, someone's going to know it's about them. I'm going to get a text message about every one! This is a very personal record."

Elsewhere Groban makes his first foray into singing Portuguese on the vibrant "Voce Existe Em Mim (You Exist In Me)," returns to the more familiar Italian language with "L'Ora Dell'Addio" (a lush collaboration with the great composer/arranger Walter Afanasieff and lyricist Marco Marinagneli), paints a loving portrait of the Big Apple with "The Bells of New York City," with and offers his own, highly personal take on Nick Cave's poetic and passionate "Straight to You."

"Josh is a one-of-a-kind artist and he works in a genre I have never worked in before," Rubin said. "So there was a great excitement discovering our 'way in' to get to his essence and make a fine art album unlike any he has made before."

For most of the songs, Rubin devised a setting to maximize the honesty and spontaneity of the performances. Recording live with Groban playing piano and singing alongside acoustic guitarists, Matt Sweeney, Smokey Hormel, and iconic organist Spooner Oldham also played on several tracks. From those sessions, multi-hued orchestrations were crafted by David Campbell for nine songs and James Newton-Howard for two, while Brazilian great Carlinhos Brown created the dynamic setting for "Voce Existe Em Mim (You Exist In Me)" in his Bahia home, including the power of an all-girl drum corps – the only drums on the album.

The partnership of Rubin and Groban developed organically and out of deep mutual respect. After an exploratory meeting, both were eager to take on a full album project. "From Day 1 it wasn't about anything to prove, but two people finding a place to work together – two scared people," Groban quips. "We wanted to find our line … and walk past it. From Rick's view the grandness was something we wanted to embrace. I was given the very lofty task of having more responsibility on this album than I've ever had. The bar was set high from the beginning. That's why it took so long. But I can say that more of me went into this record than anything I've done."

"Illuminations" was three years in the making, but the writing and recording came in bursts of creativity as Groban busied himself with other projects, including starring in a 21st-anniversary performance of the cult musical Chess at London's Royal Albert Hall, performing a comic medley of well-known TV theme songs at the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, duetting with Heather Headley at We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial, guest starring twice on Fox's hit show Glee, and filming a role in Crazy Stupid Love, a motion picture comedy starring Steve Carell, Julianne Moore, and , due in spring 2011.

The 29-year-old Los Angeles native first broke through in 2001 with his self-titled 5x-platinum debut, followed by 2003's 5x-platinum Closer and 2006's 2x-platinum Awake. In 2007, Groban became the best-selling recording artist of the year thanks to sales of Awake and his blockbuster 5x-platinum Christmas album, Noël, which spent five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart. Groban and his recordings have been nominated for more than a dozen awards including an American Music Award, a World Music Award, a Juno Award, two Grammy Awards, and an Academy Award for "Believe" from the 2005 film Polar Express. He has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.

“Is President Obama finally being honest with Americans? IS HE DAMMIT?”

When Obama ran for president he ran on the promise of hope and change. He wanted to bring the parties together. He made all these promises and when he went into office one by one a lot of these promises started to break. A large part of these promises not holding up is due to the political game. Rather than try to work together most of the Republicans in the House and Senate went out of their way to make sure nothing was accomplished because their main concern was the next election and taking control of Congress again.

President Obama has been campaigning to keep the democrats in control of Congress. He said things like the Republican party hasn't been honest to Americans or that Fox News is destructive for this country's growth. I agree with him; however I don't think the blame stops with the Republican Party. The blame should be placed on the powers that be in Washington and most of our government organizations. I think the 24 hour news networks deserve blame as well, not just Fox News, but all of them.

Your average everyday American citizens, whether they lean left or right can all agree on one thing, that Washington is messed up. As much as I'd like to think there are a few good people in Washington, I just can't. Every single one of them, 100% need to get out. They don't care about this country; they care about the political game, the power. None of them have a clue what the American people want.

We want you to quit wasting our money and to give every US citizen a shot at the American dream. It costs like 150 million dollars to run for President; that is ridiculous. You know how many jobs that could create? God, if you threw a million dollars at 150 shitty neighbors you could probably get a lot of people off of welfare and government aid, and that is just for one candidate. The American people are getting frustrated. To be completely honest, we don't want any of you anymore. Change your processes then maybe you'll be able to do something for this country.

“Emma Watson of Harry Potter accepts new role.”

Emma Watson, known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, has accepted her next acting role. The actress will play a part in the movie titled "My Week With Marilyn."

The movie will also star Michelle Williams and Judi Dench. According to perezhilton.com "The film, based on the book by Colin Clark, is about the author's time working with Marilyn Monroe, while he was employed as Laurence Olivier's assistant!"

Watson has been cast to portray a character named Lucy, which is described as a young wardrobe assistant. My guess is Lucy is a pretty awesome wardrobe assistant. I would hope Emma Watson's talents aren't hidden in a closet for this movie. It's great to see the Potter kids getting other work. I wonder what's next for Rupert Grint?

And for anyone curious about why the name Laurence Olivier is familiar to them you can visit his bio here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000059/bio. Olivier was a major film actor during his time and was married to 'Gone With the Wind' star Vivien Leigh. I wonder if Leigh is included in the project and who would play that role? Any guesses?

“Gibson.com’s ‘Top 50 Guitar Solos of All Time.’”

What makes for a great guitar solo? Does it have to be hard to play? Does it have to be easy on the ear? As with any top 10, 50 or 100 list people are going to feel somebody was left off that deserved to be on. Off the top of my head I didn't notice Zakk Wylde, John Petrucci or Nuno Bettencourt, but I only noticed them because they are some of my favorite guitarists. I was happy to see Joe Perry made the list with his live version of "Train Kept a Rollin.'"

Over all I'm pretty satisfied with the list. Coming up with a solo that is both recognizable and difficult to play is a great art. Jimmy Page was one of the sloppier players, but the guy could write. He wrote great songs and great solos so I think he deserves the number one spot. Van Halen's "Eruption" is the most popular solo of all time; I think it deserves to be where it's at as well.
