"Hot testicles can cause infertility."

The title pretty much sums up the entire story but since this is a somewhat professional publication, I’ll just say if you’re thinking about having a child, make sure your testicles aren’t hot.

I was watching the Early Show on CBS this morning and one of the segments was about laptops being used on mens’ laps. Apparently, with the computer possibly heating to a point that it makes your testicles 2 degrees hotter, men thinking about having children should not use a laptop on their lap. It kind of defeats the purpose of the laptop but whatever.

Men should also avoid tighty whities, saunas, and anything else that makes your testicles hot. It is recommended that if you must use a laptop on your lap, open your legs to a 70 degree angle so that your testies don’t get overheated forcing your sperm to, I guess, burst into flames.

What was funny about the segment, which was in complete seriousness, was the doctor/expert who said something to the effect of: that’s why your testicles are on the outside.

So the lesson here is hot testicles can cause infertility. As long as the testicles are on the outside.
