I've come across this new band called Zoo Seven. In my honest opinion they could very well be the next Coldplay. I don't mean to make Zoo Seven sound like a Coldplay rip off, because then they'd essentially just be a Joe Satriani rip off (if I need to explain it I will…Satriani sued Coldplay and won after they ripped off one of his songs…look the rest of it up on your own).

 

 

 

What's crazy about Zoo Seven is that it is basically just one guy named Del Currie. He's from Ireland. His album "Lifesaver" is very mellow and full of melody and harmony. In fact if you go to the www.zooseven.com you can actually download the entire album for free. These songs are every bit as good as anything Coldplay has done. That's not a knock on Coldplay either. I'm kind of surprised I'm not hearing these songs on the radio. The third song "Fade in Fade Out" is equally as catchy.

 

I don't get how the music industry works. I'm not the world's biggest Coldplay fan or ever really into that genre in general, but I can tell when something works and Zoo Seven works. It really is just a matter of the right person stumbling across this amazing piece of music before Del Currie becomes a household name.
