"Tiger Woods' apology saved how many sponsors?"

By Jason Tanamor

Anyone who watched the pathetic apology by Tiger Woods knows one thing – Woods doesn’t care about what is happening. Apparently, the world’s greatest cheater, er golfer, thought he could recite a speech that more than likely his publicist wrote, and all would be fine and dandy.

Well, for 13 or so minutes, the world watching believed it – sort of. Actually, from those I watched it with, it was the same reaction. “How many potential or current sponsors can he save?”

See the video here. It almost looks as if someone has died, as opposed to an apology.

There was no emotion, save for a short pause (maybe there was more but I didn’t see it because I was laughing and joking to those near me) and we didn’t get a chance to see Tiger’s pearly whites the public is so used to seeing. No questions were allowed to be asked, therefore making this planned apology not better, but worse because now people have even more questions. There was no sign of his wife, kids, nothing.

But, looking back at someone like Kobe Bryant (whose wife at least was in the picture), who pretty much is the only person we could compare to, so long as Tiger Woods wins tournaments, sponsors will return with loads of money. They may be a different sort of sponsor, something like Trojan or disposable douche bags, but whatever; Woods doesn’t care as long as there is money to be made and women to schmooze.

More than likely, Tiger is using his wood to drive his balls into his 18th hole.
