"'LOST:' What Kate did. - Last night's episode."

Let's talk “LOST.” I liked last night’s episode. That may be due to my status as a Kate-A-Holic! I can't entirely say why I love her so much but I just do. Lots of people have argued with me about her level of cool (or sucking, depending on your stance) but there is something about her that flips my switch. It's not because I identify with her, I'm not a murderer or always on the run. Maybe it's because I want to live vicariously through Kate. Regardless, I loved the Kate-centric episode that aired last night. It was surely slower than the season premiere the week before but what did you expect? They can't do that every week. Though I really wish they would.



In the world of “LOST” watching I like to make mental notes about things I notice. I should actually start writing things down when I do this because I'd remember more. But there are always several things that make me go "oooh!" at the TV. Here is the list of those things from "What Kate Did."

The Things I Noticed:

Did anyone notice Picket? He was a guard in the background. It was TOTALLY Picket (Colleen's man. Colleen was the chick Sun shot... Picket is the dude Juliet killed so that Sawyer and Kate could escape w/ Carl in the canoe - Season 3... you w/ me?) Anyway, he was in the temple standing guard by a doorway. And another dead person makes a mysterious cameo.

So Dr. Ethan "Goodspeed" eh? His name was NOT Ethan Goodspeed before! It was Ethan Rom. BOO-YAH! But what does that mean? Horace's last name was (is?) Goodspeed. Are we to now assume they are related?

I totally called it that Kate would be around when Clair had Aaron. Okay, so she hasn't had him yet but I still called it. Give me respect for my awesomeness... thank you. (Just kiddingggggg) But really, they're totally bonding and about to paint each other's toes any freaking minute now.

Sawyer, actually Josh Holloway did an AMAZING job acting last night. Way to go. Nice tears big guy. This time he managed to grieve over Juliet and not annoy me. I was sad for Sawyer when he was crying. He was really flipping crying too. When guys cry and they do the lip quiver I pretty much have to cry too. Aww... sad, sad Sawyer... Kate why don't you take his mind off of Juliet?

What's up with Sayid's "infection?" I kept expecting Dogen to say Sayid was "possessed." Because, and I know I'm not alone here, I think he's possessed by Jacob. But if he is and the temple people want to kill Jacob does that mean they're on the 'dark side?’ Wait - if they want to kill Jacob that would make them fans of Locke/MIB and they're not. I guess that eff's up that theory. So if it's not Jacob infecting Sayid what's really going on? WTF is GOING ON!!!??

Jack's being less irritating. Good. He's being more humble and realistic about himself and his awesomeness (or lack of) - this is better than Season 4's "let's traipse through the jungle trying to call the freighter so we can go home" Jack. His hair is bothersome though. It was so much shorter in the beginning of the series and the flash-sideways Jack's hair is as long and scraggly as current Island Jack. I'm sure that's to help w/ shooting and continuity but it's a little bitty thing that annoys me.
